The students, teachers, staff, and parents deserve so much more than they are getting from the superintendent and board. The staff positions that are created at the central office by Raines and the board don’t benefit the teachers or students. Most staff don’t have a clue what the administrators at the central office even do much less need. Walker county teachers have only received pay raises from the state not the county making them some of the lowest paid educators in the region but at least Damon Raines has a work vehicle to drive and the board’s relatives can get nice raises. Meanwhile, teachers in Walker county can expect no pay increases from the board.
Raines allowed a high school teacher get away with having an inappropriate relationship with a student. He allowed high school teacher Dana Cole without children to move a former student from out of town into her home. Dana Cole adopted this adult and changed her name. This adult now works at the school system with Dana's husband Duane Cole. They threatened the parents. Dana picks out daughter and destroys family. Walker County school system employs Dana her husband and this girl. Looks like some corruption going on. They are all POS
